HEALTH FAIR

Come see what is available to keep us healthy. Free chair massage, blood pressure, vision, hearing, glucose and cholesterol screenings. The Sheriff's Department will collect unwanted pills to be properly disposed of. Free snacks and coffee. Raffle prizes. The Bloodmobile will also be here from 9:00 - 12:30 PM -- sign up sheets will be at bothParadiseBayand SaraBay Halls.
WESTERN DINNER
Saturday, Feb. 25th 6:00 PM $10.00
The Western Dinner is coming soon with a great menu of ribs, jambalaya, sweet potatoes, rolls and dessert. Crackers and cheese, coffee, tea and punch. Bring your own table service and B.Y.O.B. After dinner there will be music and dancing. Registration will be Monday, Feb. 13th, before and after the coffee hour and Thursday, Feb. 16th from 9:30 - 10:30. If you have a group please register them all at the same time.

THE WALL
What would you do with our wall that runs alongCortez Road? Some people like it just the way it is, some say it's too bare. If you have an idea on how it should be painted or decorated jot down your idea and submit it to the Activities Board. All ideas are welcome. You can submit your idea at the office or drop it in the mailbox at the right side of the Rec Hall entrance.
RECOVERY CLOSET
It's inventory time again for items out longer than 6-8 weeks. If you will call Jan at 792-8386 it will be appreciated. We have need of four pronged canes, shower chairs and another walker with a seat. No need at this time for potty chairs or regular walkers. Many thanks to those who have given from those in need.

ANNUAL MEMORIAL SERVICE
This year's memorial service will be at 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 4th. It will be held in honor of all residents, employees, former residents and former employees who have passed away in the last year: March 1, 2011 through Feb. 29, 2012.
Within a few days all of the names of known persons will be posted at the Hall, in the Office and in the Laundry Room. Please review the lists and if there are any corrections (misspelled names, people missing or, as can happen, someone's name on the list that should not be) please contact Greg Lynch at 678-516-1666 or Jean Gregg at 941-794-1627.
PARK PICNIC & PARADE
We will be having our combined parks picnic on Thursday, March 15th, rain or shine. The day will start off with games for everyone at 8:30 AM behind the shuffleboard courts at PB. Then, on to the golf cart and bicycle parade. Cheryl Seel is the coordinator for the golf cart parade. The theme is: "See the U.S.A." It would be great if all states are represented -- not just your home state. Be creative --do red, white and blue --or think of something different. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place will be awarded. After the parade lunch will be served which will be a half chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, homemade cookies and drinks. The price is $8.00 and you can get your tickets from the street captains.
We are asking for donations of homemade cookies from anyone who would like to bake some and deliver them to the PB Annex by 9:30 AM that day.
PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
The next meeting of the Photography Club will be on Feb. 11th. We will share pictures showing reflections and learn about composition.
A "Shutter Stroll" is planned for Feb. 21st at 5:00 PM at Robinson Preserve.
Our next meeting will be Feb. 25th and Aperture/Shutter Priority will be our topic for discussion.
PARK WIDE YARD SALE
The park-wide yard sale will be held on March 10th. Start now to dig into those old storage boxes and find stuff for the sale.
VEHICLE STICKERS
Attention all residents! Several residents do not have aParadiseBay sticker on their vehicle. Please come to the office with your car registration and we will give you one. It is required that everyone staying in the park must have a decal or temporary pass on their car.
EXERCISE CLASS
There will be no exercise class on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd due to the Health Fair. The Exercise Class will go out to lunch on Tuesday, Feb. 14th. Meet at the shuffle court at 11:15 AM. Call Ellen Nyberg at 795-0925 for reservations.

CLOGGING

POOL REMINDER
It is up to us to make sure our guests know the pool rules. The pool is a NO SMOKING AREA. You must exit the pool area and smoke outside. No food or beverages other than water are allowed in the pool area. A copy of the pool rules can be obtained at the office.
KITCHEN BAND
The Kitchen Band will give a FREE performance on March 8th at 7:00 PM. This is always a fun event that everyone looks forward to. The band is led by Steve Garry and he and all the band members would like to see everyone come out for this performance.
QI GONG CLASSES (Chee Gung)
Classes are on Tuesdays at 9:00 - 9:45 AM atParadiseBay. Wear comfortable clothes. Newcomers are always welcome. This is a martial arts style of exercise which is done while standing or sitting in a chair. On Feb. 14th the class will be held outside at Bayview and6th Streetat 9:00 AM weather permitting (little wind and 62° minimum).
BOATING & FISHING CLUB
The regularly scheduled boating and fishing club meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month 9:00 AM in the Rec Hall. Membership is $10 a year and is open to everyone inParadiseBayandSarasotaBay. You do not have to be a member to attend the meetings. You do not have to have a boat to be a member.
The one-day fishing contest for February is Tuesday, Feb. 15th with the rain date the 16th of Feb.
SUNDAY NIGHT HYMN SING
Please join us at SaraBay Hall each Sunday Night at 7:30 to sing the old gospel songs. We have special guests on some of these nights.
Feb. 12th the Heritage Gospel Hymns will provide a program of gospel hymns and songs with a mixture of singing and instrumental renditions using a digital accordion, trumpet and trombone. Please feel free to join us each week in a night of singing.
OHIO DINNER
All Paradise Bay and Sarasota Ohio Buckeyes are invited to attend the Third Annual Ohio Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 16th at 1:00 PM. It will be at the Golden Corral,5525 Cortez Road.
